Design and implement a loan guarantee fund to improve access to finance to smallholder farmers and micro and small agri-food businesses for ENABEL’s projects in Niger.

Project Description
Provide technical advice to ENABEL on designing and implementing a loan guarantee fund to improve access to finance of smallholder farmers and agri-food businesses.

The activities carried out involve

• Provide different options / scenarios to set up a loan guarantee fund;
• Elaborate the manual of procedures for operating the loan guarantee fund;
• Support the management team to effectively implement the loan guarantee fund;
• Assist the team to elaborate a call for proposals to select partner MFIs
• Conduct a due diligence of the 3 MFIs selected by ENABEL (COOPEC KOKARI, COOPEC Yarda Tarka Maggia and MEC Amana)
