Design relevant tools and methods for supporting the funding of agriculture MSMEs for ENABEL’s project in Guinea [Framework Contract]
Project Description:
Enabel Uganda is supporting the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) implement the BTVET Strategic Plan – also referred to as Skilling Uganda Strategy under a 5 year-project – Support to Skilling Uganda (SSU). Its overall objective is increased employability of youth through better quality of instruction and technical/vocational skills development.
The activities carried out involve:
- Mapping of the current supply of agri-finance services (and corresponding constraints) to smallholder farmers
- Analysis of the demand for financial services (needs) from smallholder farmers
- Assess the potential appetite of Financial Services Providers (FSPs) to provide specific financial services/products to smallholder farmers
- Make recommendations on the different options available to ENABEL to sustainably improve access to finance of smallholder farmers (guarantee mechanism, subsidies, TA, etc.)
- Identify and pre-screen potential FSPs ENABEL could partner with
