Elaboration of the RIMFIL Project — Mauritania

Assignment Name:
Assist ENABEL in the elaboration of the RIMFIL Project document and provide strategic guidance on how to sustainably improve access to finance for smallholder farmers.

Project Description:
RIMFIL Project (Budget of 18 million EUR, funded by EU, implemented by ENABEL) aims to support the agricultural and livestock sectors in Mauritania. Azimut’s role was to contribute to the elaboration of the project document and provide input on inclusive finance matters (value chain finance).

The activities carried out involve:

  • Participate in the formulation mission on-site
  • Define the main strategies and activities of the intervention in terms of access to funding of actors in the value chains, the resources needed and the modalities
  • Support the drafting of the Project’s document according to the requests of the lead expert and formulation manager of Enabel
