Consultancy for PROMOST-Promoting Market Oriented Skills Training and Employment Creation in the Great Lakes Region
Project Description
The business development advisors were equipped and trained to support young people in starting their own businesses. This includes identifying local business opportunities, sensitising TVET graduates, supporting young people in writing business plans and approaching financial institutions, post-creation coaching of MSMEs and follow-up. It is important to always ensure that BDA’s work aligns with Swisscontact’s PROMOST objectives and expected results through regular consultations, close follow-up and experience sharing workshops with the aim of improving the quality of services offered by BDAs towards effective contribution to an improved entrepreneurship support system in the Great Lakes region.
The activities carried out involve
- Review the facilitation model and methodological tool kits and provide advice where necessary for future activities
- Conduct the field visit to collect key experience to share during workshop
- Develop different tools to be used during the workshop
- Plan and implement a 5-days workshop
