Project Description:
Evaluation (Phase 1: 2 weeks) and strengthening (Phase 2: 2 weeks) of the MFI’s credit process and the portfolio quality management.

The activities carried out involve:

  • A thorough review of the institutional performance with a stronger focus on the operations (products, processes and methodologies) and portfolio quality management (credit risk, portfolio monitoring, reporting).
  • Provision of recommendations on improving the credit policy and procedures,
  • Training of trainers on individual lending methodology
  • Strengthening the credit committees
  • Improving the quality of reporting to strengthen the decision making process.
